Eagles, Pats score dramatic late NFL wins
Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles have rebounded from their first setback of the NFL season and spoiled Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday’s home debut by rallying for a 17-16 win in Indianapolis.
The Eagles (9-1) trailed 13-3 entering the fourth quarter on Sunday before Hurts threw a touchdown pass and rushed for the go-ahead score to finish with 190 passing and 86 rushing yards.
Hurts’ 22-yard throw to Quez Watkins with 13:31 left in the game cut the hosts’ lead to 13-10.
Chase McLaughlin’s 37-yard field goal pushed the Colts’ advantage out to six but the Eagles grabbed their first lead on Hurts’ seven-yard TD run and Jake Elliott’s extra point with 1:20 left.
